Mark Junge
WERA #57
Bio
Mark never rode a motorcycle until he turned 18. He spent a few years riding on the street while he was at Southern Illinois
University’s Aviation school. After seeing a couple of close friends involved in accidents involving automobiles he decided
that riding on the street was too dangerous and decided to try out racing.
Mark and his father Chris entered a team in the WERA National Endurance series in 1994 and 1997 under the name Nielsens Racing.
In 1994 they finished 2nd in Heavyweight Superstock. In 1997 he won Middleweight Superstock, finished 3rd overall for the season,
and his team was able to beat Team Suzuki Endurance in what would be there last race as the Suzuki sponsored endurance team. In
2000 Mark entered a team in the 24 hours of Willow Springs under the name Vesrah Suzuki and won the race overall by over 27 laps.
This opened the door for becoming the Suzuki sponsored team for the WERA National Endurance series.
In the last 7 years Vesrah Suzuki has won 6 out of 7 Overall Championships and 58 out of 70 races.
